چکیده
Science strives to provide high-quality evidence for all members of society, but there continues be a considerable gender and diversity data gap, i.e., systematic lack traditionally underrepresented groups. Gender other domains are related morbidity, mortality, social economic participation, yet measures as well regarding how these intersect missing. We propose brief, efficient Diversity Minimal Item Set (DiMIS) routine collection in empirical studies contribute closing the gap. focus on example health consider DiMIS applicable across scientific disciplines. To identify items domains, we performed an extensive literature search conducted semi-structured interviews with experts community stakeholders nine domains. Using this information, created minimal item set self-report survey each domain. Items covering discrimination experiences were compiled from variety sources modified recommended by experts. The focuses intersectional approach, studying gender, age, socioeconomic status, care responsibilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, disability, mental physical health, their intersections. It allows sets comparable assessments multiple projects combined, creating samples large enough meaningful analyses. In proposing DiMIS, hope advance conversation about gap science.

Closing the access gap for health innovations: an open licensing proposal for universities
BACKGROUND This article centers around a proposal outlining how research universities could leverage their intellectual property to help close the access gap for health innovations in poor countries. A recent deal between Emory University, Gilead Sciences, and Royalty Pharma is used as an example to illustrate how 'equitable access licensing' could be put into practice. DISCUSSION While the c...
متن کاملDiversity in a Contrast Set Increases Generalization from a Single-Item Target
Four experiments explored the effect of diversity of contrasting negative evidence on inductive inferences drawn from a single-item target. In Experiments 1 and 2, we found that increasing the diversity of a contrast set led people to infer that a target exemplar corresponded to a higher level category and led to greater generalization of a novel property associated with the target. Further, we...
